The recreation of dinosaurs comes with many controversies. Many people are against the idea of it due to the possibility that they could break out and kill people. Others believe that there is no point in recreating dinosaurs just to put them in a zoo.

Religious groups generally oppose the idea of resurrection and 'playing God'. They also believe that the evolutionary view of dinosaurs would disprove their spiritual beliefs. They would most likely be against the idea of (re)creating dinosaurs.

If dinosaurs were to be recreated, they would likely cause ecological devastation if they escaped into nearby ecosystems. They could possibly outcompete modern species, such as lions and antelope.
